This past week, I have been dwelling on the beauty of my savior. By taking a little more time outside instead of in, I have noticed the vivid colors that make up gorgeous masterpieces. Just looking at His creation gives you a reverence for God.
I have been reading a 40-day worship devotional called "Satisfy my Soul" and out of all the profound words in the book, one specific devotion hit home for me. It was only day three and Laura Hackett Park used Romans 1:20. This Bible verse states, "For every since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." (NLT). Along with this verse, she goes on to say how most of us get too caught up in ministry to recognize the beauty of God. We are always rushing and in a hurry. In the midst of her saying this, one quote of hers changed my whole perspective on God, my life, and 2019! "There is too much detail and extravagant, almost wasteful beauty to deny that there must be a creative mind behind it all." The "extravagant, almost wasteful beauty" got me.
It dawned on me that I had not been enjoying and praising Him for His beauty enough. So, I asked God to show me His beauty. Man, did he show out! This past week, has had the prettiest sunsets and sun rises that I have every seen! I have made sure this week to take pictures and admire His beauty, making sure it doesn't go to waste. So thankful, to Him, for showing us just how beautiful life can be.
There are more beautiful pictures of Gods beauty in my gallery. Out of all of them, I believe this takes first place! The camera couldn't even capture all of the details! Man, I am in love with the God I serve. The best painter in the world could not paint something this intricate!
