New Word For The Church- "Awaken My Bride"

Absolutely new blog! The Lord has pressed it upon my heart to change my blog into words for the church. It's time to be awake! Jesus is coming back, and He is coming for a perfect and awake bride. I will not be a watchman and not blow the trumpet (reference Ezekiel 33). So here we are: Awake and Arise!

My husband and I just moved to Dallas, Texas to be apart of the move of God happening at UPPERROOM Dallas. While we were in worship, the Lord showed me a picture. Then confirmed that word and my commissioning by the sermon after on Ezekiel 33. Here is the word:

I saw two women. They were both walking along the sidewalk, one wearing sunglasses and the other not. They saw three people asleep, slouched over on each other, on a bench. The woman with the sunglasses said to the other, "Hey, take my picture!" and did a hand gesture that showed she was making fun of the sleeping people on the bench. The hand motion was one of mocking, she acted like she was going to scare them awake and then never did anything. The women proceeded to take the picture and then went on their way, leaving the sleeping people and the only thing they did was laugh at them.

I saw this image and the Lord told me:

"The awake Bride needs to stop picking on the sleeping bride. They are not a spectacle. They are not some photo prop to elevate your self righteousness.

Quit using them in your sermons, as a tool of separation. It's not cool to point out the sleeping bride. It's our mandate to wake them up."

That is the word I am to share. Take it, heed it, and ask Holy Spirit what your involvement is with this. I, personally, believe that we can learn two things from this word:

  1. Don't act like you're going to wake up the sleeping bride and then not. Now, no one cares about your christian t shirts and how much you Bible journal. I am a huge Bible journaler and I own my fair share of Christian t shirts but what I am saying is this: if your actions don't line up with your image, you are a sounding gong and clanging symbol. It's time that we actually begin to wake up the church. Jesus is coming back, and He wants a fully prepared and perfect bride. Not only that, we OWE the world and encounter with Jesus. We owe Jesus His inheritance.

  2. Now is not the time to be inactive. Like the first point, we are to wake up the bride. But there is no more time to just turn your head and keep walking. We no longer get to take a cute instagram picture with our milk drunk brothers and sisters in Christ and be okay with it! Get real, get close, choose connection and love and vulnerability. First with God, and then with others. Talk to your friends and make sure that they know the real Jesus of Nazareth. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

I love you guys.
