A Challange...

Wow! I have not been on here in a while. Summer was jammed packed and I took some time to catch up and get into the swing of school. What is even crazier is that in about 2 and a half months will be our one year anniversary! That's amazing.

Anywho, I did not come on here to just talk about my summer and future goals. Like always, I only write on here if I have something to say. Something I feel the Lord is leading me to say.

Today, I was to challenge you as the Lord has challenged me since the end of July. Live in a vertical state of worship to the Lord.

What does that mean exactly? When you live in a vertical state of worship, everything thing you do (as long as it aligns with the word) is going to bring honor to God. Not only brings Him honor, but it will also make your relationship with Christ stronger. I have been brewing on this for some time, just taking it in and trying to apply it to my own life.

What have I realized? I realized that you don't have to have music to worship, you don't have to be in church to worship, you do not have to sing or have any talents to worship, you don't have to close your eyes and have some type of emotional response to worship. You know what you have to do to worship? All you have to do is vertically align your heart with God's. Let him lead you, trust Him.

God designed us to worship and He loves when we worship Him. That's why He gave us free will. How horrible would it be if we squandered that beautiful gift?

So my challenge today is to live in a vertical state of worship. Worship the Lord when you are eating. Worship when you are helping someone at school. Worship when you are laying in your bed alone just thinking. Worship in the midst of your sorrow. Because worship is not a moment, its not a schedule, its not an emotional outburst, its not a talent show. Worship is a life style. Something you involve yourself in everyday.
